Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 6 May 1964) is a Danish actor. He is an actor from Denmark. He has played Troels Hartmann who is Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was also portrayed in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He received the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011, aged of 27. In 1995, he was admitted to the National Theatre School of Denmark. In addition to his part in the drama series that was released internationally as The Killing, after that, he appeared in two more internationally well-known Danish drama series, Those Who Kill and Borgen III. He also played a lead role in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer, Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American television series House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. In the year 2018, he took home an International Emmy Award for his character in the main character of the Danish television drama Herrensveje. It was broadcast in the UK as Ride Upon the Storm in 2019.
